Ideal for home studios and home entertainment systems, the Edifier MR4 is an active studio monitor speaker with a 1″ silk-dome tweeter for clear highs and a 4″ PP cone woofer for deep lows. With two 21W Class-D amps, a TI DSP and ADC chipset, and an MDF wood cabinet to reduce unwanted resonance, the MR4 delivers clear, accurate audio reproduction.

The Edifier MR4 monitor features convenient connections to a variety of professional and consumer devices, including balanced 1/4″ TRS inputs, RCA coaxial inputs, and two front-panel jacks: a 3.5mm aux input and a 3.5mm headphone output. The multifunctional knob on the front is used for power, volume, and toggling the two sound modes—Monitor mode for serious music production and Music mode for everyday listening. The Edifier MR4 studio monitor includes an active speaker, a passive speaker, a speaker connection cable, a 3.5mm audio cable, and a 3.5mm to dual-RCA cable.

Professionally Tuned

Based on the accurate analysis of the characteristics of the unit by the German KLIPPEL system, a flatter curve necessary for a monitor is acquired after dozens of professional tunings by Edifier Acoustic Lab.

Supremely Deep Bass, Natural Highs

With a 4″ woofer and the support of Class-D amplifier, the frequency can be lowered to 60 Hz. A 1″ silk diaphragm unit with special coating ensures smooth and natural treble. And a specially designed integrated front panel combined with the cone brings clearer diffusion of the high frequencies.

Integrate with Professional Equipment

With 1/4″ TRS balanced input jacks, Edifier MR4 Studio Monitor can connect to consoles, mixers, and other professional equipment with the input sensitivity of +4 dBu to build a small music production system. In addition to balanced 1/4″ TRS input, MR4 also has two unbalanced RCA and 3.5mm aux inputs and a 3.5mm front headphone output, which provide convenient connection to different devices simultaneously and allow you to switch to monitor directly from your headphones.

Digital Signal Processor

The Edifier MR4 adopts a TI, high-quality ADC (analog-to-digital converter) chipset. This chipset provides an SNR of up to 99 dB, with TI digital power amplifier TAS5713 and the use of its built-in DSP to complete sound adjustment, to ensure excellent performance under dual mode.

Upgraded Drivers

Moderate amounts of MICA added to the traditional PP cone keeps the audio response soft and relaxed with more natural details. It strengthens the rigidity and hardness of the cone to enhance the low frequencies and extends the depth of the bass character.

Pure Output

Different from other entry-level monitoring speakers, the Edifier MR4 adopts inductive and capacitive second-order frequency dividers, so that both the woofer and tweeter can acquire better signal input and reproduce sound with purity.

Selectable Sound Modes

With the special selectable sound modes, you can choose Monitor mode for music production, to listen to an accurate representation of the audio you are creating, or switch to Music mode for an enhanced daily music listening experience.
