High-Quality HDR/HLG Images

To produce more detail in your highlights and shadows, HDR/HLG was enabled for both the photo and video (5.3K and 4K) modes. Take sharp, detailed, cinematic-quality raw photographs or videos up to 27MP or 5.3K60. With the Quik software, you can even extract 24.7MP frames from your videos. Capture 2.7K video at 240 frames per second for 8x slow motion playback.

HyperSmooth 6.0 with AutoBoost

The AutoBoost performance of the updated HyperSmooth 6.0 minimizes image cropping, which could otherwise jeopardize your framing. Even if your camera turns all the way, 360° Horizon Lock maintains your footage level and steady.

Widescreen, Vertical, and Full Screen Capture

For a range of shooting situations, switch between widescreen 16:9, 9:16 vertical, and 8:7 full-frame aspect ratios. The full-frame option records a 156° field of view, allowing you to trim in post-production to produce vertical and widescreen images.

Burst Slo-Mo

New Burst Slo-Mo captures footage where action is slowed down to 13x its normal speed. You can also record short 4x slo-mo clips in 5.3K resolution video to catch details you might have missed on first shot.

Timecode Sync

You can effortlessly synchronize the camera timecode if you have multiple HERO13 Blacks, which will simplify multi-camera editing. To expedite postproduction, this tool works with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and other editing programs.
