The Universal Audio Volt 876 sports eight XLR-1/4″ combo mic/line inputs, with six on the rear panel, and two on the front panel. The front-panel jacks offer switchable line / Hi-Z input modes. Further per-channel front-panel controls include 48V phantom power, phase reversal, Vintage mode, and 76-style compressor with three presets. Monitoring controls include low-latency direct monitoring mode, DIM/Talk, Alt, and mute.

The Universal Audio Volt 876 is loaded with I/O for every occasion, including three stereo pair 1/4″ line outputs (channels 3 to 8), one stereo pair of monitor outputs, 16 channels of ADAT (or 2-channel S/PDIF) via TOSLINK optical ports, BNC wordclock I/O, 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O, and two front-panel headphone outputs with individually adjustable volume.
