Behringer ECM Pro Overview

Calibrate your room acoustics and align your studio monitors precisely with the Behringer ECM Pro, an omnidirectional, condenser measurement microphone with an ultra-linear response up to 30 kHz. Designed to work with the Behringer Ultracurve or any other analyzer, the ECM Pro provides an instant snapshot of a room’s acoustic properties.

The Behringer ECM Pro features an evenly weighted omni pickup for pinpoint accurate readings. The gold-plated XLR connector ensures maximum signal integrity and resistance to corrosion. The Behringer ECM Pro includes a microphone clamp for mic stands, a 3/8 to 5/8″ thread adapter, and a zippered carrying case.

Room Calibration and Monitor Alignment

The Behringer ECM Pro is a high-precision condenser microphone specifically crafted for use with real-time analyzers. Its primary function is to provide an instantaneous acoustic snapshot of the room’s sound characteristics.

When you place the ECM Pro in the room, it captures the ambient sound. This data is then analyzed by tools like the Behringer Ultracurve DEQ2496 (or any other analyzer), which processes the information. When faced with a challenging room, such as one with odd reflections, standing waves, or resonances, the ECM Pro becomes priceless.

Great Sound from Every Angle

The ECM Pro boasts a ruler-flat frequency response spanning from 20 Hz to 30 kHz. This wide range ensures that it captures sound accurately across the entire spectrum. The ECM Pro microphone’s omnidirectional pickup pattern means it captures sound from all directions. This feature is particularly useful for assessing room acoustics, as it provides an unbiased reading of the environment.
