RODE Wireless GO III (Gen 3) Overview
Videographers, vloggers, and mobile journalists can now easily and quickly record two on-camera personalities to a mobile device or camera with the black RODE Wireless GO III (Gen 3) system, which has more powerful features than ever before and is easy to use. The results are broadcast-ready and sound professional.
The RODE Wireless GO III is ready to go at the touch of a button thanks to its dual-channel receiver, transmitters with built-in microphones (lavalier mics are available separately), secure Series IV 2.4 GHz digital transmission, and ease of operation. You can concentrate on getting the shot knowing that the Wireless GO is providing high-quality audio at a range of up to 853 feet. Additionally, digital clipping is eliminated with 32-bit float backup recording, adding an additional degree of security. It has a bright, informative LCD screen that shows you what you need to see, and it has straightforward power-on-and-go functionality without any menus or fussy dials. When you’re ready for more, you may access a robust feature set and more extensive setup customization by using the Rode Central companion app.
Third-Generation Upgrades
32-bit float recording: You never have to be concerned about digital clipping because to the transmitters’ large dynamic range and 32-bit float backup recording. You may be sure that the transmitter’s digital recording will be flawless as long as the signal isn’t too loud for the microphone. Furthermore, it is possible to normalize low-level recordings to useful levels without introducing noise.
Longer recording time: with 32GB of memory, each transmitter is capable of up to 40 hours of 32-bit float backup recording.
Improved microphones: the transmitters’ built-in microphones have been updated to include the same microphones as the Wireless PRO models. This helps to guarantee the clearest audio possible at the time of capture by increasing clarity and intelligibility while lowering the possibility of overloading at the capsule.
Locking 3.5mm mic inputs: the transmitters now sport locking 3.5mm input jacks for extra security when using external lavalier mics (external mics available separately).
Intelligent GainAssist: By removing the guesswork and allowing you to concentrate on creating amazing footage, RODE’s intelligent GainAssist technology automatically adjusts the receiver’s output levels to your camera based on how loud your subject is. Naturally, you have the option to manually change the output levels, with a range of 30 dB available. There are also gain presets for different types of cameras.
Increased range: The third-generation Wireless GO boasts upgraded Series IV wireless technology, which allows for an incredible 853′ wireless transmission range between the transmitters and the receiver, as opposed to the Wireless GO II’s 656′ maximum range. Additionally, it provides stronger signals in congested WiFi settings. Additionally, the system can operate both transmitters without compromising range performance.
Headphone monitoring: with a high-power headphone amp built into the receiver, you can connect a pair of headphones to the 3.5mm output jack and monitor both of your transmitters as they record.
3.5mm TRRS output jack: the receiver’s TRRS output jack means you can connect a third mic via this jack when using the system’s USB output for recording. The additional mic could be a headset mic or a lavalier that supports TRRS connectivity.
Improved display: enjoy improved clarity and definition from the receiver’s upgraded display. This makes it easier than ever to check your levels and see the recording status and other key information immediately.
Dedicated recording buttons: each transmitter offers a dedicated recording button, giving you complete control over when recording starts and stops.
