PreSonus M7 Cardioid Condenser Microphone
PreSonus M7 offers a warm sound with smooth highs at a highly accessible price point for musicians, podcasters, and content creators on a scaled-down budget. It utilizes a sensitive electret condenser to produce a strong output signal and a wide frequency response of 30 Hz to 18 kHz.
The cardioid polar pattern gives the M7 directional pickup characteristics that reduce ambient sound and background noise behind the mic. Since it can handle SPLs up to 134 dB without distortion, the mic is equally well suited for guitars and drums as it is for voice recording. It features an XLR 3-pin output, which connects to any preamp that can supply 48V phantom power via the included XLR cable. A stand mount and carry case are also included with the M7.
Multipurpose Microphone
Previously only sold in PreSonus bundles, but now available standalone due to popular demand, the M7 is a great all-around entry-level microphone that accurately captures whatever you put in front of it. Its smooth top-end response makes it particularly suitable for podcast production, livestreaming, and voice-over applications.
High Max SPL
With a maximum 134 dB of SPL handling, the M7 can be used on louder instruments like electric guitar cabinets or snare drums without incurring distortion.
Great for Home Studios
Rugged construction and quality performance specifications make the M7 condenser microphone an excellent addition for any home recording or streaming studio.
Cardioid Polar Pattern
Thanks to the M7’s cardioid polar pattern, it will capture the sounds you point it at while downplaying the off-axis sounds such as room ambience and background noise.
