Bluefish444 Epoch | Supernova CG Overveiw
With incredibly low sub-on-field or frame latency, the Bluefish444 Epoch | Supernova CG boasts four bidirectional HD/SD-SDI connectors that support up to DCI 2K/30 resolution video input and output. A second PCIe card, such as a PCIe-based SSD drive or RAID controller, can be integrated with the Supernova CG, an internal full-height, 2/3-length, 4-lane PCIe card that works with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. Alternatively, it can be installed in optional Thunderbolt enclosures from Sonnet and other brands for additional multimedia workflow options. The Bluefish444 cross-platform SDK and IngeSTore acquisition software can be downloaded for free with the card.
The card also has hardware downstream keyer, full-duplex DMA data transfer, 256MB of on-board memory, 4 x 4 x 33-bit color matrix, dedicated reference input, high-performance bypass relays, embedded audio support, and 12-bit video signal path.
Among many other uses, the Epoch | Supernova CG can be applied to workflows for broadcast graphics, post-production, live events, digital intermediate, mobile production, quality control, video over IP, and streaming.

Low Latency
The Epoch | Supernova CG has numerous applications, including broadcast graphics, digital intermediate, live events, streaming, quality control, broadcast graphics, post-production, and mobile production.
Low-Latency Video Keyer
Hardware with low latency With a delay of only a few microseconds, video layers can be combined in hardware thanks to video keyer. This makes it possible to keyframe animated logos, captions, tickers, and other graphics at full 12-bit precision and with the least amount of input to output latency over live video feeds. To help preview images with alpha data, the keyer can also be used as an image pre-multiplier.
12-Bit Processing Pipeline
enables the production of 8-, 10-, 12-, and 16-bit SDI video signals from 8-, 10-, 12-, and 16-bit pixel formats, offering the best possible image quality from your source material.
RGB / YUV
The best color space conversions, the lowest color space conversion errors, and the highest quality color accuracy during capture, monitoring, and mastering are all provided by a fully programmable 4 x 4 x 33-bit color matrix.
Thunderbolt Expansion Compatibility
For multichannel mobile production, the Epoch | Supernova CG is compatible with expansion enclosures for AKiTiO Thunderbolt, One Stop Systems Magma, Sonnet, and Netstor.
Pixel Formats
2VUY, YUVS, BV8, V210, AYUV_4224, AYUV_4444, YV12, I420, ARGB, BGRA, RGB24, Cineon, DPX, RGB48, and custom formats.
