Sony ICD-PX470 Overview
An integrated USB port is present in the Sony ICD-PX470 digital voice recorder. It’s ideal for recording lectures, meetings, notes, and even live music, and it records in both MP3 and linear PCM formats. Simply insert the device into an accessible USB port on your computer to transfer files back and forth; it doesn’t need a connection to connect to your computer.
Built-In Memory
Sony ICD-PX470 has 4GB of internal capacity, however it can be expanded using the microSD card port. Locating your files is made simple by a calendar-search feature. A low-cut filter that removes background noise and rumbling, an S-microphone system, Auto Voice Recording mode, and customizable settings for recording stereo or mono sources both up close and far away all contribute to the recording’s audio quality. The device may operate continuously for up to 55 hours thanks to the two AAA batteries that are provided. There is also a Windows Sound Organizer program included.
microSD Card Slot
With its 4GB of internal memory, the ICD-PX470 can record stereo MP3s at a bit rate of 128 kbps for up to 59 hours and 35 minutes at the most. Nevertheless, you can add up to 32GB of extra memory with a microSD card, which is the equivalent of more than 536 hours of recording time (MP3 at 128 kbps).
Transcription Playback Helps You Review Recordings
The transcription playback mode on the gadget makes it easier to record talks on paper. You can rewind and fast-forward the song, or you can make cue points to help you quickly locate your position. You may also slow down the playback speed using Digital Pitch Control to pay closer attention to what is being said.
Record and Listen in Linear PCM or MP3 Formats
Choose from two popular file formats when you record. Linear PCM files are larger but capture more detail, and thus, are suitable for recording music. MP3 files require less memory, making them more appropriate for recording long lectures or meetings. The ICD-PX470 will also play back MP3 and PCM files, so you can listen to your favorite songs in music-player mode.
