Rode NT2-A Overview

The Rode NT2-A large-diaphragm studio microphone has a clear and smooth sound signature with versatile pickup responses, making it perfect for a variety of voice and instrument sources at home or in the studio. It combines a true condenser capsule, three selectable polar patterns, and ultralow-noise circuitry. In addition, the NT2-A’s assortment of accessories—which include a dust cover, XLR cable, pop filter, and shockmount—allows it to function exceptionally well for voice actors, rappers, and singers.

low noise Cut

The Rode NT2-A prioritizes low noise, and to further protect it from handling and vibration noise, its 1″ gold-sputtered capsule is internally shock-mounted. The inbuilt pad (-5 or -10 dB) and high-pass filter (40 or 80 Hz) settings, which assist prevent distortion and bass buildup, enhance its professional nature. A wide range of professional and budget-friendly XLR mic preamps can be used with the NT2-A because it can operate on 24 or 48 VDC phantom power.

Multiple Polar Patterns

The NT2-A offers great adaptability for single-source close miking (cardioid suggested), dual-source pickup (figure-8 recommended), and room ambience capture (omnidirectional recommended) because to its three adjustable polar patterns.

Large-Diaphragm Condenser

With a 1″ gold-sputtered diaphragm, this genuine condenser Microphone offers a large dynamic range, outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, and a broad frequency response.

Unique Audio Out

This transducer’s frequency and transient response have been tuned to match modern recording techniques while retaining the smooth, vintage sound of the venerable microphones from the 1950s and 1960s.

48V Phantom Power

Most XLR-connected mixer channels, audio interfaces, or mic preamps can supply 24 or 48 VDC phantom power, which the NT2-A can dependably use

Accessory Package

The accessory package includes a studio-grade shockmount with an integrated pop filter, a premium 20′ XLR mic cable, a dust cover, and a downloadable instructional video packed with recording tips.

I have had Neumann mic in the studio, and there is a difference, but it seems to be more of character than one of quality. all the important frequencies this mic hits perfectly not too sharp not to dull

    Highly recommended
