PreSonus Studio 1810c Overview
For vocalists, musicians, producers, and podcasters in home/project studios and mobile setups, the PreSonus Studio 1810c desktop 18×8 USB audio/MIDI interface blends studio-quality sonic performance, versatile and expandable I/O, and refreshing ease of use. It offers ultrahigh-resolution conversion, four Class-A preamps, a host of outputs, and a powerful software package.
Giving You The Control
The Presonus Studio 1810c can handle any source with clarity and natural tonality, from condenser mics and active DI boxes to electric instruments and line-level mixer outputs, thanks to its configurable 48V phantom power and four XMAX Class-A mic preamps fed via XLR-1/4″ combo inputs. Use the four 1/4″ rear-panel inputs to connect additional line-level sources or outboard mic preamps straight to the A/D converters. The interface can function at a 192 kHz sample rate with 8×6 I/O functionality or at a 24-bit / 48 kHz resolution without compromising channel count thanks to excellent converters in all inputs and outputs.
Four Rear-Panel Line Inputs
The Studio 1810c’s rear panel has four additional 1/4″ inputs in case you need to record more than four analog sources at once. These 1/4″ line-level inputs can be used to connect the outputs of outboard mic preamps or console direct channel outputs. This will allow the signal to go directly to the A/D converters without going via the interface’s gain stage.
Multiple Headphone and Monitor Outputs
Thanks to the interface’s two 1/4″ main line/monitor outputs and two independent stereo headphone outputs, you can easily hook up a pair of speakers and two sets of headphones, and independently adjust their volume levels via separate knobs on the front panel. At the push of a button (Mute), you can cut the main monitor feed.
Easy-to-use DSP monitor mixing lets you create four discrete mixes for you and three others. The A/B button toggles between monitoring outputs 1-2 and 3-4 while listening in on headphones through the first headphone output.
