The Audio-Technica ATM31a Cardioid Condenser is a battery or Phantom powered condenser microphone ideal for close-up vocals, overheads, piano and strings.

The low-mass diaphragm of the Audio-Technica ATM31a Cardioid Condenser ensures minimum distortion and its cardioid pattern provides added warmth when used at minimal distance.

The ATM31a is a cardioid condenser mic with an electret capsule. It was presented as an all-purpose studio or field microphone, and could be powered via phantom power or an AA/UM3 battery.
